Project | Conception, development and implementation of pan European launch for the product launch of the Motorola walkie talkie radios. The brief was to devise an event not located in any of the key territories that allowed a broad range of journalists to engage with the product and use the product to it’s fullest potential. The product launch had to simultaneously allow each territory (country) to speak in their native languages (which included French, German, English, Spainish, Italian and Dutch) while using the product. We came up with a competition which pitted Motorola territories against each other using a “Challenge Anika” type format which allowed the journalists to use the radios to guide each other through a series of challenges.

What the journalists say | Sky: The Motorola Talk About Challenge was the best product launch that I have ever attended and completely changed the way that I will view Motorola. A great event, necessitating practical use of the product being launched.
Client | Broadway (Leading Homeless Charity)

About the project | Creation through to delivery of a series of 8 weekly workshops for homeless women living in a Broadway hostel waiting for permanent accommodation. The workshop format included a short talk and discussion on the key ingredients being used, their nutritional and health benefits, the origin and culture of the product and ways in which they could be cooked. The group then cooked a full course meal together and ended the evening by eating together and taking away recipe and fact sheets and food for the next day.

What the client said | Broadway: Suzanne developed all of the
materials, recipes and session plans, and delivered all the sessions.
I was very impressed with Suzanne’s skills on a number of levels. She has instinctive and powerful people skills that meant she was able to build a rapport with even the most hard to reach clients. She is a very natural tutor and all the students warmed to her. The group aimed to introduce clients to a wheat free, sugar free, vegetarian diet and to use that to get them to look at their eating habits. This is a challenging subject for clients with bad eating habits and Suzanne’s course design and personal skills overcame this challenge.

Project | Storm broke the mould with board sports magazine covering snow, skate, surf as well as music and lifestyle. It was the first magazine to focus not only on the technical but the lifestyle featuring cutting edge interviews with the riders as well as ground breaking interviews with artists such as Goldie and Meshell Ndegeocello. In another first of its time it was free and given away in HMV.

Impulse consistently developed its scent library to keep the range fresh and up-to-date. In 1981 the Jeunesse variant was introduced. The fragrance paid homage to classic French perfumes and managed to make £8 million in the UK.

Our role | In early 2000 the brands PR Agency approached us to conceive, produce and manage the launch for the new range of impulse fragrances. The brief from the brand to the agency was for the launch to take place in a fresh exciting environment out of the Beauty Editors London comfort zone. The new range of fragrances were aimed at women who led a diverse and active lifestyle and this was to be reflected in the location for the launch.
